Lin Wallberg - Solo Handbell Artist

Welcome to BellSolos.com!

This web site presents the solo handbell ministry of Lin Wallberg, of Beltsville, Maryland. Audiences and congregations all across the southeastern US have thrilled to the power and dexterity of Lin's ringing. Coming out of a Music Ministry background, much of his repertoire consists of arrangements of hymns and other songs of worship, but he rings a wide variety of styles. Melodies from the classics, opera, standard pop tunes, and our patriotic heritage are presented with a skill that amazes listeners wherever he rings. Lin received the Bachelor of Music Education degree from Stetson University and the Master of Church Music degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and has been presenting solo bell concerts for over 25 years. Janie, his wife, has been his accompanist for all of those years, and more. She, too, trained at Stetson University, receiving the Bachelor of Music Education degree. From 1983 until 1996 Lin was the Minister of Music at Colesville Baptist Church of Silver Spring, MD. During most of those years he was the Handbell Specialist for the Baptist Convention of Maryland/Delaware. Working as a systems analyst for CSC (Computer Sciences Corporation), Lin is usually available for concerts, clinics, weddings, etc. on weekends.

Janie and Lin worship at First Baptist Church of Laurel where he directs the Chapel Choir in the traditional 8:00 am service and plays the euphonium in the Contemporary Service orchestra at 10:45. FBC Laurel is a great church with a very active music ministry. Please come visit us if you are ever in the Laurel area.

Lin is a member of the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers (AGEHR), and proudly rings Schulmerich hanbells.
